1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of translationaz.com and any related services provided by Translation AZ (“Translation AZ,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By using our website, requesting a quote, or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.

Specific projects may be governed by an additional service agreement, statement of work, or master services agreement. In case of conflict, the project-specific agreement controls.

2. Who We Are

Translation AZ is a US-based certified translation agency headquartered in Miami, Florida, with a UK office in London. These Terms apply to our US-facing services delivered through translationaz.com.

3. Use of the Website

You may use translationaz.com for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

• Use the site in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the site
• Interfere with the site’s security, performance, or availability
• Upload material containing viruses, malicious code, or harmful content
• Use automated tools (scrapers, bots) to harvest content or data without our written permission
• Reproduce, republish, or distribute site content without our written permission

4. Quotes and Service Agreements

Quotes provided through our website or by email are estimates based on the information you supply. They become binding once both parties confirm scope, fees, and timing in writing. Translation AZ reserves the right to revise a quote if the source materials, specifications, or scope differ from what was originally provided.

5. Confidentiality

Translation AZ treats all client materials as confidential. Specialist linguists, project managers, and contractors who work on your project sign confidentiality agreements before receiving any source material. We are willing to sign client-specific Non-Disclosure Agreements on request. Full details are in our Confidentiality & NDA Policy.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

All content on translationaz.com, including text, graphics, logos, the Translation AZ wordmark, page layouts, and code, is owned by Translation AZ or its licensors and is protected by US and international copyright and trademark law. You may view and download content for personal, non-commercial reference only.

6.2 Your Content

You retain all rights to source documents and materials you provide for translation. By submitting materials, you grant Translation AZ a limited license to process, translate, and store those materials for the purpose of delivering the services you have engaged us to perform.

6.3 Translated Output

Subject to full payment of fees, you own the translated output we deliver to you. Translation AZ retains the right to reuse general translation memory data and terminology in anonymized, aggregated form to improve service quality, unless you instruct us otherwise in writing.

7. Payment

Fees are payable as set out in your project agreement or invoice. We accept payment by Stripe (credit and debit cards) and bank transfer. Translation AZ does not store full credit card numbers; payment data is handled by Stripe under PCI DSS Level 1 standards.

Late payments may be subject to interest at the maximum rate permitted by law. We reserve the right to suspend services on accounts with overdue balances.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Translation AZ delivers services with care and in accordance with ISO 17100 standards where applicable. However, the website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Translation AZ’s total liability arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the site is limited to the fees you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Translation AZ is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. SMS / Text Messaging Terms & Conditions

This section sets out the terms governing our SMS messaging program. By providing your mobile number and checking the SMS opt-in box on our quote form, contact form, or another opt-in channel, you agree to these terms.

9.1 Program Description

By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to receive SMS text messages from Translation AZ. Messages may include:

• Quote confirmations and follow-up communications
• Project status updates (such as when your translation is ready for review)
• Delivery notifications and certificate availability notices
• Appointment reminders for interpretation bookings
• Time-sensitive service communications related to your active projects

9.2 Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on your active projects and inquiries. You will not receive promotional or marketing messages through our SMS program.

9.3 Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan and carrier. Translation AZ is not responsible for charges from your wireless provider.

9.4 How to Opt Out

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Once we receive your STOP request, we will send a single confirmation message and stop sending you further SMS messages, except for one-time service messages required to wind down active matters. 9.6 Privacy

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of information described in our Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. 9.7 Carrier Liability

Translation AZ is not responsible for any delays, failures in delivery, or any other issues related to the transmission or receipt of text messages. Delivery of messages depends on your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed by Translation AZ. By subscribing to our SMS service, you acknowledge and agree that Translation AZ is not liable for any damages, losses, or injuries arising from delays, non-delivery, or errors in transmission of SMS messages.

9.8 Eligibility

To opt in, you must be at least 18 years of age and the account holder for the mobile number you provide, or have authorization from the account holder.

9.9 Supported Carriers

Our SMS program is compatible with major US wireless carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Translation AZ, its officers, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the website or our services.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
